Authentic hand-knotted rug with classic tribal geometry: an elongated hexagonal field carrying three octagonal medallions, ivory spandrels, and latch-hook borders. The palette is a rich madder red with deep indigo/navy and crisp ivory, finished with saffron and bottle-green highlights.

Condition

This is a genuine vintage hand-knotted rug and shows the normal, characterful signs of age and use.
• Pile & colour: Overall pile is even with a nice vintage softness. There is a faint, narrow band where the pile lies slightly differently in the blue/red section – visible in some angles under light. This is within the original weave (not a cut, join or repair) and does not run all the way across the rug. It reads more as subtle colour/texture variation rather than damage.
• Fringes & edges: Fringes show light wear and some unevenness, typical for a vintage piece, but both ends are present and usable. Side cords/selvedges are intact with only minor age-related rubbing.
• General wear: Light, honest wear consistent with age, with no holes, tears or major repairs visible. The rug lies flat and is ready to use, with plenty of life left and a lovely, authentic vintage look.

Care: regular vacuum on low suction, rotate seasonally; spot-clean wool only.
