Beautiful vintage Afghan / Baluch-style hand-knotted wool rug, approx. 243 x 116 cm.

Rich red and burgundy tones with dark brown/black detailing, cream highlights and traditional tribal geometric motifs. A lovely decorative size for a hallway, landing, bedroom, study or narrow living space.

There is a small woven “Bahar” inscription within the design, Bahar is a Persian name meaning “spring”.
The rug has had a light surface clean with water and has been aired, so it is ready to use.

Vintage used condition with age-related wear, colour variation, worn fringes and small signs of use, as shown in the photos. Still very decorative and usable.
